Culture - Arts & Entertainment of the Palm Beaches
When the Palm Beach Cultural Council solicited the assistance of Worth International Communications, to develop their newsletter into a consumer magazine, I worked with publisher Hal Herman, an icon in travel and private publishing, to create a new Culture magazine. As director of marketing, I created a media sales package, hired a sales rep, and assisted in developing a advertising prospect list. I also worked with designers to create a new mast head and logo for the magazine, created special events to promote the launch (see the "No Wine-ing" link), helped developed editorial, a cultural calendar, and acted as spokesperson for the magazine and publishing company. In keeping with my desire to write, I even authored an article for the second issue! No Wine-ing!To promote the addition of reputed wine critic Robert Howser to the editorial staff of Culture magazine, I created a special event--a champagne tasting at a top Palm Beach restaurant. I worked with Southern Wine & Spirits distributors to stage the party, and with the creative department at Worth International Communications to create the artwork for the "No Wine-ing" invitation, sent to the social, civic and business circles of Palm Beach. |
